Zimmer® Trabecular Metal™ Reverse Shoulder System

The Trabecular Metal Reverse Shoulder System course will review shoulder anatomy and patient selection.  Participants will discuss clinical results and surgical approaches for the management of conditions requiring joint replacement in small-group discussions with one faculty member.  Short lectures on other topics such as surgical exposure, product design rationale, and post-operative care and rehabilitation will be presented followed by small group case-based discussions.  Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • describe normal shoulder anatomy, stability, and kinematics
  • predict how changes in shoulder anatomy affect shoulder stability and kinematics
  • identify patient indications and contraindications for the Trabecular Metal Reverse Shoulder System
  • demonstrate pre-operative planning and implementation of the Trabecular Metal Reverse Shoulder System
  • determine how to restore normal shoulder kinematics and solve potential problems that may arise during the surgical procedure
